Refract was selected to be part of the King’s Head Theatre Queer Season in August 2019, where it was produced by Back Talk Theatre.

Refract is a three-hander which follows the breakdown of three separate relationships, with the actors multi-roling between straight and queer characters. Yet, even though the relationships and the sexualities of the people within them are different each time, the actors have the exact same script.

And so the relationships morph from being loving, to tragic, to abusive, depending on who is saying the line and how they are saying it.
